WHO WE ARE
ClarkKane is a full service production company with 18 years of experience in the business. David Kane, as a creative director at an ad agency for 15 years, directs, shoots and edits projects of any size for both live entertainment and corporate videos. Mills Clark is a top notch DP/Cameraman who, before joining forces with David, already had 12 years of experience shooting and lighting in just about every field of production. We work with ad agencies, press agents, corporations and production companies to deliver the highest quality product at an affordable price.
WHAT WE DO
Whether it’s a multi-camera shoot for live entertainment, a thirty second spot for an agency, or a one camera project for EPK and web purposes, we’ve done it all. We work closely with all clients every step of the way to ensure you’re getting exactly what you need (hoping we can also add something to the mix.) Our clients have been with us since our first job for them and we encourage you contact them as testament to the level of work we do.
OUR APPROACH
The industry has obviously changed drastically in recent years. Gone are the days of big budgets, huge crews and lavish craft services. We believe in the ‘small footprint’ concept. We come in with minimal gear and walk out with the footage you’d expect from a large production company.
HOW WE DO IT
Production
Just as the industry has changed, so has technology. We were the first in New York to use the Sony EX3 hi-def camera. The image quality is superb. At a recent demonstration comparing it to the Sony 900, the Panasonic varicam and the P2 among others, the EX3 was unanimously judged by industry experts to be as good or in most cases better than those cameras. We own the cameras, so rental costs are quite affordable.
Post
Again, with the advancement of technology, post has become much more affordable. With 16 years of experience as an editor, David works with the latest software that allows for laptop editing. No overhead translates to affordable post and minimal or no cost for an outside facility. The workflow with the EX3 and post is both tapeless and seamless, whether working with Avid or Final Cut Pro.
